Emily Vazquez serves as Controller at Sourcing Insights, where she manages all aspects of the company’s finances. Emily was drawn to Sourcing Insights for its organized, professional leadership and genuine commitment to company success. A proud Purdue University graduate with a degree in Financial Planning, Emily has furthered her expertise through additional accounting coursework at Purdue Global. She credits her education with building a strong foundation for her analytical skills and financial management capabilities.
Emily began her career as a finance manager for a local salon group, where she oversaw two salons and an education center. This role sparked her passion for operational finance and honed her skills in budgeting and resource management. She then joined Purdue University, managing a $104 million Earthquake Engineering Grant, before moving on to serve as Controller for a local masonry company. During her eight years there, Emily played a key role in driving the company’s growth from $3 million to $18 million in revenue.
Emily is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two amazing boys who keep them very busy. Her husband and children are her greatest supporters, encouraging her to chase every goal. She strives to model hard work, integrity, and teamwork for her sons, maintaining a clear boundary between work and home so she can be fully present with them after school. In her free time, Emily enjoys cooking, baking, playing games, and making memories with family and friends.
