Tyler’s Profile
Tyler Conn serves as the Vice President of Sales at Sourcing Insights, overseeing all sales and marketing activities for the company. Joining during the startup phase, Tyler has played an integral role in shaping the company’s culture and driving its growth. He leverages experience as both a purchasing manager and a sales professional to secure clients and foster long-term relationships, and his goal is to help double the company’s growth year over year, landing larger clients and taking Sourcing Insights’ solutions to the next level.
With a degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University, Tyler brings both academic and practical expertise to his role. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification equips professionals with the methodologies, tools, and leadership skills to direct data-driven process improvement initiatives that reduce waste, optimize performance, and increase customer satisfaction.
Tyler began his career as a purchasing manager for a manufacturing firm and later transitioned into a sales manager role, where he gained a unique perspective and developed strong negotiation skills, as well as empathy for both client and supplier needs. This blend of operational and sales expertise now informs his approach to building trust and delivering results for Sourcing Insights’ clients.
Actively involved in his community, Tyler has coached multiple youth baseball, basketball, and football teams, as well as helped organize and run local sports camps. He has supported his daughter’s fundraising efforts for Riley Children’s Hospital through Dance Marathon events and has also volunteered with Lafayette Transitional Housing, serving meals to support individuals experiencing homelessness in the Greater Lafayette area.
Tyler’s drive for success is rooted in the example of his older brother, ten years his senior, who inspired him through hard work, perseverance, and dedication. Motivated to provide for his family, Tyler applies those same principles in his career. He and his significant other, Courtney, share four children – Lexi (18), Trevor (17), Marlee (9), and Niles (4) – who are a constant source of pride and encouragement. Their support allows him to fully commit to his work, with Courtney often serving as a trusted sounding board when important decisions arise.
