Steven Miller is the CEO and Co-Founder of Sourcing Insights and an accomplished supply chain professional. With over 40 years of leadership experience in supply chain management, global procurement strategies, and manufacturing engineering, Steve leads the company in scaling globally through partnerships, data-driven solutions, and a shared vision to transform procurement into a strategic engine for growth.

Steve earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and is SME-certified, with multiple instructor certifications that underscore his depth of expertise, including Project Management, New Product Introduction, and Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt. He is recognized as a two-time “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive for his industry contributions and has served on the conference Board of Directors for the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), where he remains an active member and thought leader. He is also the author of several supply chain publications, including Making the Grade, which covers supplier performance measurement and sustainability.

Steve’s foundation as a supply chain professional started at the helm of Cummins Engine Company as the Director of Worldwide Indirect Purchasing and Capital Procurement. After 20 years at Cummins, Steve went on to hold executive leadership roles including Vice President Global Supply Chain for Wabash Technologies and Vice President Global Strategic Sourcing at Wabash National Corporation. At Wabash National, a leading manufacturer of aluminum-sided trailers, Steve deepened his impact on the industry by creating and leading IPC, his second industrial purchasing consortium. Continuing his C-suite supply chain trajectory, Steve went on to serve as the Chief Procurement Officer for Aluminum Dynamics. In each of these roles, one challenge remained constant: the absence of meaningful data. Recognizing the potential of their vision, Steve and his Co-Founder, Karl Andersson, launched Sourcing Insights.

Guided by purpose in both his professional and personal life, Steve is a passionate advocate for giving back, volunteering with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and supporting causes devoted to finding a cure for cancer. He is also a lifelong basketball fan, coach, and avid golfer.

A proud father of three – Katie, Christian, and Cameron – and grandfather of four, Steve owes his success to the love of his family, faith, and strong relationships.
