Our leadership team at Sourcing Insights includes sourcing and procurement professionals with decades of experience and proven success.

The Sourcing Insights story began in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2017, when Steven Miller and Karl Andersson brought their respective experiences in analytics and sourcing technology together to fill a need they discovered in the business market.

While working together for another company, the duo was tasked with a goal of analyzing the company’s spending and subsequently finding ways to operate more efficiently and remain focused on results. They quickly realized there wasn’t an effective solution for businesses and organizations of various sizes and types to achieve these same goals.

Although the market was flooded with various tools and options, none of them allowed for the level of customization they needed. Specifically, there was a gap in terms of the usefulness of tools geared toward manufacturing, nonprofit organizations, and the logistics and distribution sectors.

With pain points that typically include a lack of visibility among competitors, inefficient or even outdated technology and procedures for procurement, and a glaring deficiency in the ability to easily track contract compliance, Steven and Karl seized a clear opportunity: provide tech-enabled services and enhance shareholder value by providing procurement guidance that maximizes business performance and drives growth.
